The investment casting foundry has a capacity of 150 tons per year and produces custom-made casts weighing from 10 g to 12 kg, in batches of 100 to 200,000 pieces. We process casts from carbon steel, low and moderately alloyed steel, stainless steel, and also in part from non-ferrous materials such as brass. The quality of our production is guaranteed to be in compliance with ČSN 421251 and the OZN P 630 international standard. A certificate of the material's chemical composition is provided with the casts.

1) Production of wax models
The wax model is manufactured by injecting wax in metal moulds.

2) Assembling (gluing) trees
Manufactured wax models are glued and soldered with appropriate gating.

3) Manufacturing shells
The shell is manufactured by dipping the wax tree in a ceramic slurry. After dripping, the tree is sprinkled with nonplastics of an appropriate grain size. The process is repeated about five times.

4) Smelting wax
Smelting wax from the shell is done in an autoclave, where the wax substance is removed from the shell by the pressure of overheated vapour.

5) Annealing
The purpose of annealing is to remove any traces of undesired substances, such as water and wax, from the ceramic shell, so as to ensure its required mechanical strength.

6) Melting and casting
The required material is melted in induction ovens at a temperature of up to 1700?C. After conducting a chemical analysis, the molten metal is poured into the annealed shells.

7) Final stage of production
The ceramic forming mixture is manually or mechanically removed from the cooled-down shell. Consequently, trees are blasted, and individual casts are separated from the gate stick. Grinding removes from the cast any remains of the gate, and is followed by common procedures for finishing the shape and surface.
