AGRO Brno-Tuřany, a.s. is a joint stock company specializing in landscape supply, classic agricultural production, gravel quarrying, earthwork and foundry production. The company was founded in 1993, during the transformation period of agricultural co-operatives. It is located on the southeast outskirts of Brno.

The company has four divisions:

1. Landscape Supply Division
   Landscape supply is the company's predominant activity, generating over 55 % of the company's yearly turnover. The division farms eight hectares of glass-enclosed areas, where potted plants, cut plants and seedlings as well as full-grown balcony plants are produced. In open areas, perennial plants, medicinal plants, potted chrysanthemums, ornamental bushes in containers and in open soil, fruit tree saplings and bushes are produced.
   
   This division operates three gardening wholesale warehouses (WW):
   - two WW with flowers, gardening and floral supplies, which supply do-it-yourself retail chains. They also supply other retailers with floral assortments. The warehouses have their own transportation available.
   - one WW with ornamental and fruit-producing woody plants, offering their own plants and other plants, especially German imports, which were purchased to increase variety.
   The landscape supply of AGRO Brno-Tuřany, a.s. is the largest in the Czech Republic.
    

2. Agricultural Production Division
   Horticulture covers 1,600 hectares of farmland, mainly in the Tuřany, Holásky, Chrlice, Brněnské Ivanovice, Slatina, Dolní Heršpice and Přízřenice areas. Consumable wheat, malting barley, oilseed rape, sunflowers and peas are among the main commodities grown.
   Livestock production, specializing in pork and poultry, operates at the Tuřany and Chrlice farms,. Our own cabbage shredding facility processes the cabbage grown, and traditional "Tuřany sauerkraut" is produced according to old peasant recipes.
    

3. Division of Non-agricultural (industrial) Production
   Gravel, backfill and raw materials from which bricks are made, are quarried in our own sandpit with the help of heavy machines, and then sold. We also offer our heavy machines to be used for earth work and transporting cargo.
   
   The Investment casting foundry has a production capacity of 150 tons per year, and produces custom-made casts weighing from 0.01 to 8 kilograms. We process casts from carbon steel, low and moderately alloyed steel. Rustless casts are our priority. The foundry processes jobs not only from renowned Czech machine-industry companies, but also from foreign EU companies.
    

4. Economic-administrative Division
   This division sets the complete economic and administrative agenda for the company.

AGRO Brno-Tuřany, a.s. is a member of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic, Arboriculture Union of the Czech Republic, Floricultural Union, Vegetable Growers' Union, Union of Oilseed Growers and Processors and the Association of Gardening Exhibitors.
